Explore the enchanting Mindo Cloud Forest and then, we set sail around the stunning Galapagos Islands. The lively culture of Colombia welcomes us next in Santa Marta, followed by the colorful, history-rich streets of Cartagena. Discover the natural beauty of Tayrona National Park, and finally unwind at a beach resort on the Barú Peninsula. This tour offers the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration!
Nestled among towering Andean peaks, Quito greets us with open arms for the start of an unforgettable travel experience. Upon arrival, we‘ll be met at the airport and transferred to our hotel, where we can relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.
Day 2
Quito and the Middle of the World

Step into Quito’s UNESCO-listed historic center, where colonial charm meets vibrant culture. We will walk along cobblestone streets lined with colorful facades and explore iconic landmarks like the golden La Compañía de Jesús, the neo-Gothic Basílica del Voto Nacional, or the grand San Francisco Church. At Panecillo Hill, we take in sweeping views of Quito’s rooftops and surrounding mountains, followed by an immersive experience as we cross into the equatorial line at the Middle of the World and learn how the Geodesic Mission determined Earth’s shape. Let’s explore the fascinating mysteries of latitude 0°.
Day 3
Mindo - Cloud Forest Quest

We will depart Quito and journey into the lush Andean cloud forest, stopping at reserves where hummingbirds and butterflies thrive. As we explore the trails, we’ll admire orchids, bromeliads, and learn about local conservation efforts. Later, we enjoy an exhilarating Tarabita cable car ride that will take us across the green canopy to admire the lush beauty of the region from above. Next, a hiking experience to a majestic waterfall provides an ideal photo backdrop and a refreshing swimming opportunity. Later, we will visit a family-run cacao farm to experience the chocolate-making process before returning to our hotel in Quito.
Day 4
From Quito to the Galapagos Islands

Transfer to the airport for our Galapagos flight. Upon arrival in the islands, we are met by a cruise representative to board our ship and get our discovery adventure started.
Each Galapagos itinerary is designed to enjoy wildlife encounters in both land expeditions and water activities. We will walk alongside giant tortoises, marvel at birdlife like blue-footed boobies and flamingos. We will snorkel among sea lions, reef sharks, and vibrant marine life as we explore stunning volcanic landscapes, guided by a certified naturalist and with a professional and friendly crew, our Galapagos trip will be a truly unforgettable experience.
Days 5-7
Galapagos cruise

With the exception of the first and last day, Galapagos cruises include two guided excursions daily, with time to relax in between or enjoy the yacht’s social areas and amenities. Snorkeling is an essential part of every itinerary, and some vessels also offer kayaks and paddleboards for added adventure. Each outing brings us face to face with remarkable wildlife and the intriguing natural history of the archipelago. In the evenings, we gather for informative talks on the islands’ flora, fauna, or geology, followed by some stargazing before retiring to our private cabins to rest and recharge for another extraordinary day.

Farewell Enchanted Islands

Our last expedition on the Galapagos is followed by a transfer to the airport to board our flight back to mainland Ecuador. Upon arrival, we are met by our driver at the Quito airport to be transferred to our hotel.
Day 9
Colombia Chapter: Bogotá

Welcome to Colombia’s dynamic capital! After arriving in Bogotá, we’ll embark on a guided city tour. Take in panoramic views from Monserrate Hill, explore the historic La Candelaria district, and marvel at the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic gold at the Gold Museum. Wander through Bolívar Square, the heart of the city, where we can opt to savour some traditional Colombian food. In the evening, we settle into our hotel and enjoy some downtime.
Day 10
Bogotá – Santa Marta

After breakfast, we are transferred to the airport to catch a domestic flight to Santa Marta, the gateway to Colombia’s Caribbean coast. This historic city, founded in 1525, is surrounded by lush mountains and golden beaches. Upon arrival, we are met by our driver and transferred to a gorgeous beach town hotel.

Day 11
Tayrona National Park (Cabo San Juan)

Today’s adventure will take us to the breathtaking landscapes of Tayrona National Park with a scenic hike through tropical forests teeming with wildlife. Follow lush trails to Arrecifes Beach, passing secluded bays and the crystal-clear waters of La Piscina. Reach the idyllic Cabo San Juan, where you can swim in the turquoise sea and relax on golden sands. We’ĺl enjoy a delicious beachside lunch before making our way back through the jungle, filled with unforgettable sights, sounds, and the magic of Colombia’s Caribbean wilderness.

Santa Marta – Cartagena

Journey along Colombia’s Caribbean coastline to Cartagena, a city of vibrant colors, rich history, and colonial elegance. We will stroll through the cobbled streets of the walled city, where flower-adorned balconies and centuries-old churches create a timeless atmosphere. Explore the lively Getsemaní neighborhood, where street art and local culture blend seamlessly. As the day winds down, soak in the enchanting ambiance of this UNESCO-listed gem, where every corner tells a story of conquest, trade, and resilience.

Cartagena City Tour

Step back in time as you explore Cartagena’s historic wonders. Visit the hilltop Convent of La Popa for sweeping city views, then marvel at the military might of Castillo de San Felipe. Savor a traditional Caribbean lunch before continuing your adventure through the vibrant walled city. For an optional experience, glide through the serene mangrove tunnels of La Boquilla in a canoe, discovering the region’s unique ecosystem and its rich biodiversity.

Cartagena – Barú

We leave the bustling streets behind and set sail to the tranquil shores of Barú Peninsula. Nestled in the Rosario Islands, this tropical paradise boasts crystal-clear waters, swaying palms, and white sandy beaches. We’ll spend the next couple of days relaxing in a private luxury and environmentally friendly bungalow, enjoying time by vibrant coral reefs, exploring nearby nature reserves,indulging in fresh seafood or simply lounging by the sea. This is the perfect setting to unwind and embrace the magic of the Caribbean and have a well-deserved rest at the end of our trip; a vacation from our vacation if you will!
